BIO
As a Black woman therapist, I believe healing begins in relationships; with ourselves, with others, and within the communities that shape us. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and valued without having to leave parts of your identity at the door. My approach is grounded in cultural humility, compassion, and genuine curiosity, recognizing that every person's story deserves to be understood within the context of their lived experiences.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Widener University and work with adolescents and adults navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity development, and stress. My therapeutic style is primarily relational and attachment-focused while drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, strengths, and goals.
As someone deeply committed to serving historically underserved communities, I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC individuals. I understand that culture, family, systemic experiences, and personal history all influence how we navigate the world, and I believe these experiences deserve to be acknowledged and honored throughout the therapeutic process.
My work is rooted in empowerment, authenticity, and collaboration. Therapy is not about "fixing" you; it is about creating a space where you can better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, process difficult experiences, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values.
Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning after time away, my hope is that our work together helps you feel more connected, more resilient, and more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges. Healing is not always linear, but you do not have to walk the journey alone.
