ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Dee Dee Smiles is a passionate advocate for culturally centered wellness and mental health. With a vision to empower Black wellness practitioners and the communities they serve, she founded Holistic Melanin, a directory and resource hub connecting individuals to therapists, coaches, and wellness providers who prioritize growth, balance, and restoration.

Driven by a commitment to accessibility, representation, and holistic care, Dee Dee has dedicated herself to creating spaces where wellness is culturally informed and inclusive. Her work bridges the gap between wellness professionals and those seeking support, ensuring that everyone can access care that honors their identity, experiences, and aspirations.

Through Holistic Melanin, Dee Dee continues to uplift Black wellness voices, champion mental health equity, and foster community-centered healing.
