My First Petit Vour Box

So one of the first things I decided to delve into on my journey is green beauty.  I love makeup, but I don't love that most of the makeup marketed to women, especially African American women, is high in toxicity.  And yes I could go without makeup, but like countless other women in the world, I like to have days where my skin doesn't look so hot.

I picked up "The Green Beauty Rules," by Paige Padgett which has given me a bunch of information about green beauty and has me excited to switch my products.  With brands often being smaller, most of the brands are located online which means no swatching in Sephora or Ulta.

Enter Petit Vour! Petit Vour makes it easier to try out green beauty brands but putting them all into one convenient monthly subscription box. When you sign up for Petit Vour you get four products, some sample sized and some full sized, that all you to try out different brands.  For $15 a month, you're getting the chance to test out products that can become a staple in your beauty routine.

Inside my box I found the four selected products for the month of November.

  • Ellovi Jasmine Rose Scrub- This scrub is made from just six ingredients, one of them being shea butter.  It smells like a combination of shea butter and flowers.  It sinks into the skin and buffs away my dry flaky skin on my calves.  This scrub left me moisturized and super soft. Definitely a repurchase.

  • Elate Clean Cosmetics Universal Creme for Face & Cheeks | This is a beautiful coral colored blush/lip balm combination. I think it will look beautiful on any skin tone. It gave me a natural looking flush instead of a harsh swatch of color across my cheeks.

  • We Love Eyes Tea Tree Eye Lid & Eyelash Makeup Remover Oil | If no one has told you that sleeping in your makeup is bad, let me be the first one to tell you.  It's bad for you. Not only is this habit bad for your skin, but it can also lead to eye inflammation. This product is designed to help you get off your eye makeup before you go to bed. It's made with jojoba oil and tea tree oil, so it's super natural and safe to be around your eyes.

  • W3LL People *NEW* Realist Invisible Setting Powder | So this is the newly remastered formula from the W3LL People. I don't have any previous experience with this product so I have nothing to compare it to. What I do now is that the formulation is now vegan.  I plan to use this to set my under eye concealer on days where I look extra sleepy. I'll decide if I want to purchase the full size product after this runs out.

Well that's the end of my unboxing. I hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time,
